  • For all of your calls, the Facebook Messenger app now has a new dedicated area.
  • It helps you to keep control of all of your phone calls in one spot.

All of your audio and video calls are now stored in one place under the new “Calls” menu, making it easy to call pals with just a few taps. It’s immediately next to the “Chats” tab in the Android and iOS Messenger apps. Every call you’ve made or received, including missed calls, is listed on this tab. A list of your contacts, as well as audio and video call buttons, are displayed on the new tab.

Messenger’s new feature, which follows WhatsApp’s lead, groups all of your calls into a single “Calls” tab. The function has been in the app for a long time, and it was included to fulfill the requirements of users who wish to phone their relatives and friends without paying high telecom rates.

While Messenger is one of the greatest Android messaging applications available today, it lacked a means for users to keep track of their calls in one place until now. To access the call buttons previously, you had to begin a conversation with a buddy.

Meta’s ongoing effort to promote Messenger as both a message and a calling app is reflected in the most recent modification. Its purpose appears to be to make it apparent to newcomers to the service that the software not only allows you to communicate with pals but also allows you to call them.

Its introduction corresponds with the company’s declaration that the number of daily calls made through Messenger has increased by 40% since 2020. Every day, more than 300 million audio and video calls are done on Messenger throughout the world, according to Meta.

The new tab is Meta’s most recent addition to Messenger. Split payments and extended audio messages were added to the app earlier this year. Messenger includes a Slack-style shortcut that lets you to ping everyone in a group conversation a few months later.
