The ability to modify messages after they were sent was one of the most sought features of the world’s most popular instant messaging service.
Previously, WhatsApp permitted users to erase messages, which sparked considerable controversy about the app’s use.
Editing, on the other hand, made it easy to simply update the message, particularly if it was lengthy and just a single item needed to be changed.
Telegram, another messaging service, was the first to include this capability in its discussions, ahead of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp, on the other hand, had been hesitant until recently and has previously stated that the ability to modify messages will be added in a future release.
What Is The Process For Message Editing?
By pushing down on the message, WhatsApp will allow you to do so. The edit option will show in the menu that appears.
Users can update the text and resend it by clicking the ‘edit’ button.
You can only erase a message on WhatsApp if it hasn’t been an hour since it was sent.
While this is only speculation, it is assumed that the message will be edited using the same approach.
