Businesses Will Soon Be Able To Rename Their Handsets/Devices For Free On WhatsApp
The function was previously considered to be only available to WhatsApp Premium subscribers, but it now looks to be available to everyone.
What you should know!
WhatsApp Business users will soon be able to modify the names of their connected devices.
Beginning today, beta testers will get access to the new functionality.
The functionality was intended to be included with the WhatsApp Premium membership, however, this does not appear to be the case.
WhatsApp is testing a tweak to its WhatsApp Business service that will allow businesses to modify the names of devices associated with their accounts — and the capability will be available to everyone.

The option to rename devices was previously supposed to be exclusive to WhatsApp Premium business subscribers, however, WABetaInfo says that the capability is now available to all beta testers.
We may now rename connected devices, as seen in this screenshot: this is achievable immediately after adding a new device to our WhatsApp account, or later by going to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices > Device > Name. Another business function that helps companies recognize to whom the device belongs is the option to provide a custom name to our associated devices, which is not available to normal WhatsApp accounts.
There’s no way of knowing when this capability will be accessible to all WhatsApp corporate customers, but the option to rename devices might be crucial for everyone.

On the surface, changing the name of a gadget may not seem like a big issue, but it’s yet another feature that will be recognized as a significant increase in the quality of life for people who require it.
