Apple Glasses would introduced in 2024

Apple Glasses are expected to debut in late 2024

Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about Apple’s VR/AR headset and when it would be released. But what about Apple’s augmented reality glasses?

Apple’s first set of AR glasses, according to Jeff Pu, a research analyst with Haitong Intl Tech Research, might be revealed in late 2024. Furthermore, a second-generation VR headset may be released within this time frame.

In a note reviewed by 9to5Mac(opens in new tab), Pu made this forecast but didn’t go into much more information beyond the possible launch date. The same can be said about Apple’s second-generation VR/AR headset, according to Pu, who claims that the company has begun planning the product. Meanwhile, he confirmed that the first headgear will be available in early 2023, as previously reported.

Luxshare, a cable assembly, and connection systems firm, is expected to be an important Apple supplier between now and 2024, according to reports. That indicates it might be engaged in both Apple Glasses and the VR/AR headset’s development.

We don’t know much about the Apple Glasses thus far. The most notable feature is that

Apple Glasses

they are expected to look like any other pair of glasses, with the exception that the lenses will also show digital objects and information.

The gadget is also intended to link with an iPhone and display information from your mobile on those glasses, as well as a dedicated AR app store. According to rumors, there will be no external cameras because of privacy concerns, and AR would instead rely on a LiDAR scanner to determine distance.

Over the last several years, numerous patents have been discovered that provide features and advances that might make Apple Glasses a game-changing piece of technology. For example, lasers can be used to project digital things onto your eye, or unique glasses can adjust to the user’s specific vision needs.

However, none of those ideas are certain to be viable, let alone that they will feature in Apple Glasses.

The announcement of an Apple Glasses launch timeframe comes only days after allegations that Facebook/Meta was abandoning its own AR Glasses plans. A report indicates that the first-generation model, which was supposed to be released in 2024, will instead be a “demonstration” model. Consumers would have to wait for the second-generation model to get their hands on a pair.

There’s a lot that may happen in the next two years, and there’s no certainty that Apple Glasses will be ready by then. A variety of variables, such as development concerns and supply chain issues, can create delays, as we’ve seen with the VR/AR headset.

The latter is especially noteworthy right now, and Apple isn’t the only firm impacted. Let’s hope everything starts to fall into place before the year 2024 arrives.
